Radhika Hariharan

Radhika Hariharan (Bengaluru)

Aunty has been an integral part of my childhood, as she has for countless others too. But never did I imagine that after a passing of over twenty years, she was back in my life, wielding the same kind of influence on me, as she did when I was a child! She is an embodiment of woman power, whose strength, will and resilience shone through luminously. not just through the fine arts but in every challenge that she bravely faced through life’s challenges.

She embraced me not only into Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music and introduced me to Nattuvangam but showed me how to live with a ‘can do-will do’ attitude and that ‘age is yet another number’.

My dream is to keep that spirit alive, by performing and teaching several gems of her body of work, staying true to her style as she would like it. I pray Aunty continues to bless me with the will and might to carry on like she did until her last breath.
